Digital Literacy for Newcomers (DLN)

The Digital Literacy for Newcomers (DLN) program offers newcomers with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of between 0 and 4 the opportunity to build essential digital skills and confidence in today’s technology-driven world. This comprehensive program is designed to meet the diverse needs of newcomers, with flexible, learner-centered instruction delivered in multiple languages.

Program Overview

The DLN program is divided into four levels, allowing learners to build their skills incrementally while catering to their individual learning pace. Learners may choose to attend all four levels or select the ones that best meet their needs.

Level 1: Introduction to Digital Skills
Level 2: Introduction to Internet
Level 3: Online Communication and Connection
Level 4: Online Tools

Delivery Format

Classes are primarily conducted in-person to facilitate student interactions and maximize engagement. However, online options are available upon request for Levels 3 and 4 learners facing barriers to in-person attendance.
