Josephine Naicker is a respected leader in the global cybersecurity, finance and cloud technology audit space and has been Senior Manager of Technology Audit at ATCO Group since 2018, when she moved to Alberta from South Africa. Holding a distinguished roster of credentials—CCSP, CISSP, CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE, CRMA—Josephine’s impressive professional experience spans the public and private sectors, having held C-suite positions and key audit roles in academia, government, multinational corporations and the United Nations.
She currently navigates multiple impactful roles as Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics Instructor at the University of Lethbridge, Content Advisor for the Cloud Security Alliance, board member at the Institute of Internal Auditors (Calgary Chapter) and Digital Forensics Advisor for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
A remarkable highlight of Josephine’s career is being one of only seven industry experts selected from Canada to be part of an international team of 85 global subject matter experts that developed the industry’s first Global Cloud Audit Credential, CCAK (Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge), underscoring her technical competence and leadership role in the domain.
In line with her philosophy of paying it forward, Josephine serves as the volunteer Board Chair of Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) and was recently the Chairperson of ATCO’s Employees Participating in Communities (EPIC) program which is ATCO’s way of giving back to more than 800 charitable organizations across Canada.
She has shared her insights and expertise through speaking engagements at various institutions and events —IIA, CPA Canada, QuickBooks USA, ISACA South Africa, and University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business—inspiring the next generation of professionals and leaders in the fields of cloud technology, cybersecurity, analytics and audit.
