Pat Firminger

Ms. Pat Firminger has a comprehensive understanding of government operations, operational planning and the delivery of employment and social services programming for a wide array of clients, stakeholders and employers.  Ms. Firminger had a leadership role with federal labour market agreements that resulted in transitioning funding and staff to provincial programming.  Pat provided strategic leadership to several major activities to improve program effectiveness and was instrumental in the implementation of integrated service delivery in the Province of Alberta.  Pat worked effectively with federal and provincial government departments, community agencies, service providers, contractors and business representatives.   

Ms. Firminger is viewed as a progressive leader demonstrating strong human resource and financial management skills.  She has a focus on excellence and achieving results.  Pat brings energy and enthusiasm to her work and strives to create a positive working environment.   

Ms. Firminger provided leadership to the Regional Collaborative Service Delivery (RCSD) Executive Committee from 2016 to 2020, was an active member of the Calgary Local Immigrant Partnership Council (CLIP) from 2015 to 2020, and was co-chair for the Immigrant Sector Council of Calgary (ISCC) from 2012 to 2015.  Ms. Firminger was awarded both the Employee Award and the Work Unit Award for the Premier’s Award of Excellence with the Province of Alberta. 

Ms. Firminger is currently enjoying an active retirement participating in curling, dressage horse riding, skiing, camping, bicycle riding and gardening.  She is the proud mother of twins and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
