Employment Pathways for Refugees

Employability Skills Training for Newcomers

Employment Pathways for Refugees is an eight-week workshop that addresses the employment needs of privately sponsored and government assisted refugees who have arrived in Canada with little work experience, low English levels, and/or limited education. 

The workshop activities and instruction will focus on:

  • Creating a resume
  • Preparing for a Canadian job interview
  • Searching and applying for jobs online
  • Communication skills for the Canadian workplace
  • Adapting to Canadian workplace culture and society
  • Finding Employment in Alberta

Details

Full-time: 9:00am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday. 

Eight (8) weeks of training. 

Two (2) weeks of job search support.
