Our Health and Wellness Program offers a variety of health education sessions for refugees, which includes an introduction to the healthcare system in Canada and Alberta.
Through our dedicated team of health navigators and disability resource navigator, we provide support in navigating the healthcare system, interpretation services, and disability support services. Our focus is on connecting all Government Assisted Refugees (GAR) and highly-barriered Privately Sponsored Refugees (PSR) to healthcare providers, such as the Mosaic Refugee Health Clinic, for physical check-ups. We also help them transition to family doctors, dentists, and optometrists in the community.
Our ultimate goal is to empower our clients with the necessary information, guidance, and support so that they can navigate the complex healthcare system on their own.
