The New Career Directions for Newcomer Professionals Program – NCD at CCIS is designed to furnish essential insights into alternative career pathways within these expanding sectors and facilitate a smooth and successful transition. The program also assists newcomers in highlighting transferable skills between sectors and sub-sectors, offering guidance for significant potential transitions in the energy sector. 

This 5-days workshop gives deep insights into the emerging industries in Alberta and prepares you for a successful career transition. 

We focus on six (6) sectors:

Program Features

This is an IRCC funded online program that runs for 5 days (8.00am – 1.00pm) and featuring guest speakers from emerging industries helping clients to explore alternate sectors and successfully transition into the new industry.

The program assists clients with overseas O&G-related experience, explore new and alternate sectors like Cleantech, Petrochemical, Renewables, IT, Fintech, Supply Chain etc. 

The program serves clients not only with Engineering background but also from project management, finance, human resources, procurement, legal, administration etc. 

  • Newcomer to Canada 
  • Worked with O&G industry outside of Canada. 
  • Interested in transition to other emerging sectors. 
  • Completed Job Search workshops.
