CCIS (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society) is a nonprofit organization that provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta. Since our inception in 1981, we have been a community leader with solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive services for our newest neighbours. We deliver these services through a dynamic multi-cultural, multi-denominational and multi-disciplinary team of professionals who collectively speak over 90 languages.
From airport reception to a first job interview, CCIS’s programs and services have been designed to assist immigrants and refugees through all phases of the settlement and integration process. CCIS – Resettlement and Integration Services (RIS) Division
CCIS Resettlement & Integration Services (RIS) division provides support services that enable Government Assisted Refugees (GARs) to transition to a new life in Calgary. RIS also offers several programs specific to refugee children and youth. RIS programs are designed to: assist in developing the independence of our clients, build capacity within the family structure and enhance our clients’ economic success. Our team of multicultural Counsellors provides settlement assistance in over 90 languages.
CCIS is seeking an attentive and dynamic Summer Program Lead (Bilingual) to join our team at the Land of Dreams, a pioneering urban farming initiative dedicated to regenerative agriculture, community building, and environmental sustainability.
This role is pivotal in leading and supporting ongoing English and French summer programming, in collaboration with key mentors, facilitators, and the community of participants and volunteers. The ideal candidate, between 19 to 30 years old, will have a talent for working with diverse communities, strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for sustainable farming practices.
