Over five days, the Newcomer Child and Youth Connections (NCYC) team distributed thousands of pieces of brand-new clothing—generously donated by an anonymous supporter—to individuals and families across the community.

In total, 122 appointments were held, with some families bringing up to nine members. Each person received up to ten brand-new items, including winter wear, shirts, pants, sweaters, and kids’ clothing.
Behind the scenes, the NCYC staff team worked tirelessly—sorting and moving more than 100 boxes of clothing, keeping the clothing room organized, and supporting clients during appointments. Their hard work made the entire process smooth and welcoming for everyone who came through the door.
A special thank you to the counsellors who made referrals, to the case managers who accompanied clients, and to Issa, MCRC’s Caretaker, who received the donation and supported the NCYC team throughout the clothing drive. Each referral, folded item, and appointment supported made a difference.
