A warm welcome and first taste of rodeo life
On Sunday, August 10, the High River AG Grounds was buzzing with excitement as families and individuals—many experiencing their first rodeo—took their seats, thanks to complimentary tickets. These newcomers to Canada were treated to a thrilling lineup of events, including bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, bull riding, and mutton busting.
One especially heartwarming moment came when the announcer invited newcomers to raise their “thank you” signs, greeting them with a warm welcome over the loudspeakers. Smiles and cheers filled the grandstand as attendees proudly waved their signs.
The event was more than just entertainment—it was a celebration of community and inclusion. People from diverse backgrounds came together to share in the excitement, creating a vibrant atmosphere that fostered connection and belonging.
