Andrea Ciurte: A Bridge Between Newcomer Professionals and Career Mentors

Meet Andrea Ciurte, one of the amazing #womenofccis.

As the Coordinator of our Mentorship for Integration program at the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS), Andrea has been an integral part of helping numerous newcomers find rewarding employment opportunities in their chosen careers in Canada.

Her role involves ensuring newcomer professionals receive the necessary support and guidance to achieve their career aspirations by connecting them with mentors in the same field.

She has made several notable achievements during her tenure at CCIS, such as successfully forging key partnerships with various community organizations and employers on behalf of CCIS and creating innovative training sessions. Her commitment to teamwork and her willingness to lend a helping hand on key projects have been a vital asset to the organization.

Andrea’s positive attitude and strong work ethic have earned her the respect and admiration of her peers and colleagues. Her greatest source of pride in her work is the positive impact she continues to make on the lives of newcomers to Canada, helping them overcome the challenges they face with integrating into the workforce and the broader community.

Andrea is motivated to keep pursuing her passion for making a difference in the lives of others. She finds great fulfillment in helping newcomers achieve their career goals and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

On her free time, Andrea enjoys swimming, biking, playing tennis and pursuing new learning opportunities, all the while spending quality time with her family. These hobbies help her unwind and maintain her well-being, allowing her to return to her work with renewed energy and focus.

To other women, Andrea says, “You can achieve great things if you never give up on your dreams. Your dreams are valid! Pursue them with dedication and perseverance and support other women along the way.”
