When Patrick Tefouet Tonlio first arrived, he wasn’t just looking for a place to spend time, he was searching for purpose, a fresh start, and a chance to grow. That journey led him to our beekeeping project, where he discovered a deep passion for caring for bees and producing honey. What started as curiosity quickly became something much greater.
Through dedication and hard work, Patrick didn’t just learn a skill, he built confidence, leadership, and a renewed sense of belonging. Now, he has produced over 1,000 pounds of honey, each jar representing the journey of someone who dared to dream. His commitment was recognized with a $10,000 Neighbour Grant from the Calgary Foundation, allowing him to expand this work and open doors for others searching for their own path.
