Christian, a passionate young newcomer from Colombia, came to Canada eager to build his career. Through the Rural Mentorship for Integration (RMFI) Program at our Rocky View Immigrant Services (RVIS) Airdrie office, Christian was paired with Mónica Hernández, a dedicated volunteer mentor and CCIS’s trades program instructor.
Together, they worked on refining his resume, sharpening job search strategies, and preparing for success.
Christian’s hard work and commitment paid off. Within weeks, he found a role in a similar industry, and by December, he landed the exact job he had been aiming for! His journey is a testament to the power of mentorship and the impact of a strong support system.
