On May 5, CCIS hosted the second annual Youth Employment Summit 2026.
This was designed to prepare youth for employment and connect them with employers seeking to fill vacancies. This was a tremendous success!
The summit was attended by 200 youth who enjoyed our keynote speaker, Dennis Agbegha, titled “You Are the Future of Canada’s Workforce,” 4 breakout sessions, a catered lunch, and a hiring fair featuring 26 employers in the afternoon. Interviews were conducted on the spot, and more than 15 job offers were extended that day, with many more scheduled for the upcoming weeks.
This event garnered media attention, with coverage on CTV News, CityNews, and the Calgary Herald.
