Camp UnstoppABLE: A Week of Fun, Inclusion, and Unforgettable Memories

Camp Unstoppable was a tremendous success this year, bringing joy and respite to refugee families with children who have disabilities. Over the course of five days, 24 amazing children attended, including 11 children with a range of abilities. This included wheelchair users, children with visual or cognitive impairments, and/or live with complex medical conditions.

This camp isn’t just about fun—it’s about providing much-needed breaks for parents and offering meaningful, inclusive activities for kids who often don’t have the same opportunities as others. This year’s highlights included:

  • A visit to Butterfield Acres Petting Zoo for some hands-on animal fun
  • An interactive dance session by Dancepl3y to get everyone moving
  • Arcade games and private movie screening
  • A science adventure at Telus Spark
  • A beautiful day spent at the local waterpark

Thanks to our dedicated staff, these kids and their families create unforgettable memories and relationships. Each year, our team goes above and beyond to provide not just activities, but authentic connections and moments of joy for families who need it most.

Lastly, thank you to our funders at Canadian Tire Jumpstart and IRCC for supporting this program!
