Rocky View Immigrant Services (RVIS) has a double reason to celebrate after earning both a Silver Award in the Community Organization category and a Bronze Award in the Non-profit category through Community Votes Airdrie 2026.
The Community Votes platform allows Airdrie residents to nominate and vote for their favourite local businesses and organizations across a range of categories. Voting for the 2026 awards closed on August 30.
For RVIS, the recognition is meaningful because it reflects support from the community it serves. Receiving awards in two categories highlights the trust and appreciation RVIS has built through its settlement services, community connections, and newcomer support programs. It is a reflection of the strong relationships we have developed with residents across Airdrie and the surrounding area.
Sincere thanks go out to everyone who nominated and voted for RVIS, especially Airdrie’s Latino community, who nominated us in recognition of our work supporting newcomers and families. We are honoured by the trust and confidence our community has placed in us, and we remain committed to supporting newcomers and families across the region.
