For those arriving in a new country, building meaningful connections is often the key to turning potential into opportunity. Networking accelerates integration, helps overcome barriers, and in many cases, opens the door to meaningful employment faster than any other step in the settlement journey.
That is why, every month, at CCIS, we create shared spaces for connection and inspiration. Our Networking for Success Breakfasts, hosted at the prestigious Calgary Petroleum Club, bring together newcomer professionals, business leaders, and community champions. These gatherings go beyond introductions. Participants hear from inspiring keynote speakers who share powerful messages, while CCIS clients take the stage to share their own success stories. For newcomers who are still searching for work, these stories provide hope, encouragement, and practical insights from those who have walked the same path.
Similarly, our monthly networking events for newcomer youth give young people a chance to meet peers, mentors, and industry leaders. These events empower youth to expand their circles early on, giving them confidence and direction as they build their futures in Canada.
From countless success stories, we know that networking is central to successful integration. Every connection builds confidence, every story sparks motivation, and every handshake can be the start of a career-defining opportunity.
